I am an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Barcelona and the coordinator of the Applied Linguistics PhD programme. Most of my teaching experience is in the area of initial teacher training of undergraduate students of English and in the field of research methods in SLA (MA level). At the moment, I am supervising a number of thesis on the topics of CLIL, study abroad, motivation, pragmatics and online communication.
I am currently involved in three research projects within the language acquisition research group (GRAL). The first one focuses on a comparison of three contexts of FL learning during the summer. In the second one, we are exploring the effects of enriching input in the English classroom in primary education. The third one is about the transition from primary to secondary education in EFL.
